SERIES RECAP & TEAM FORM

The Milwaukee Brewers have been nothing short of dominant this postseason, now a perfect 9-1 and have pulled off the comeback seven different times, including Games 1 and 2 of this World Series . In Game 2, the Rays blasted out to a 4-0 first-inning lead and Milwaukee just chipped away, eventually winning 5-4 on a seventh-inning single by Cooper Pratt. William Contreras has been the offensive catalyst, hitting .395 (15-for-38) with 3 homers in the playoffs, and reaching base in every World Series game so far . Corbin Burnes was masterful in Game 1, allowing just 3 hits over 7 innings.

The Tampa Bay Rays face a crisis no team has ever overcome in World Series history, going down 0-3. They’ve been outscored 10-9 through two games, but the manner of the losses stings, blowing late leads in both. Shane McClanahan settled in after a rocky start in Game 2 but the bullpen couldn’t hold it. Now at home in the Trop, where they went 55-26 (.679) during the regular season, they look to Freddy Peralta to stop the bleeding .

INJURY & LINEUP NOTES

BREWERS:

– ✅ Willy Adames (SS): Hamstring, in the lineup but running cautiously; hasn’t looked fully explosive at the plate
– ✅ William Contreras (C): Fully healthy, playing every day, locked in at the plate
– ❌ No significant injuries, deepest, healthiest team remaining

RAYS:

– ✅ Yandy Díaz (3B): Wrist – dealing with soreness but batting 2nd, playing through it
– ✅ Randy Arozarena (LF): Fully active – 3 for 8 in the series with a home run
– ✅ Freddy Peralta (P): Fresh – last pitched Oct 15 in the ALCS; fully rested and ready

PITCHING MATCHUP – THE HEART OF GAME 3

Robert Gasser – Brewers (LHP) Freddy Peralta – Rays
Regular Season 5-5, 3.87 ERA, 103 Ks 10-11, 4.42 ERA, 156 Ks
Postseason 0-0, 1.00 ERA — 5 scoreless IP vs Dodgers (NLCS G3) 3-0, 0.89 ERA since Aug 26; ALCS MVP
vs Opponent Never faced Rays, Spent 8 seasons with Brewers – knows these hitters better than anyone
Key Trend Lefties hitting just .198 against him Fastball velocity UP 2.5 mph this postseason – touching 99 mph

Peralta vs Former Team: In his career against Milwaukee (as a Met), he was shelled, 7 runs over 5.1 IP on July 20. But this version, the October ace is a different pitcher entirely . He’s thrown 22 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to mid-September.

PRO ANALYSIS & BETTING BREAKDOWN

The Narrative: The Brewers are the better team record, depth, starting pitching but they haven’t faced true adversity yet. Every time the opponent strikes first, Milwaukee answers. That’s terrifying for Tampa Bay. But the Trop changes everything. The Rays were 32-14 at home against right-handed pitching this season, and the Brewers strikeout rate jumps 14% on the road.

The Hidden Edge: Milwaukee’s Robert Gasser is talented but has never pitched in a high-leverage road environment like this hostile crowd, championship atmosphere, short porch in right field at the Trop. The Rays have been waiting for him and their advance scouting report is thorough.

Odds: Rays -121 / Brewers -100 | Over/Under: 7 runs

PREDICTION & BEST BET

Predicted Score: Rays 4 – 2 Brewers
Winner: Rays – Peralta is simply the best pitcher on the mound tonight, and he pitches with something to prove against the franchise that traded him. The streak ends at 9, Tampa survives for one more game.
Best Value Play: Under 7 runs, two good arms, early October jitters, both lineups facing a tough lefty/righty contrast. This stays tight and low-scoring.
Sharp Prop: Randy Arozarena 1+ hit, he’s the most consistent Rays hitter and Gasser will have to navigate him in a pitcher-friendly park.
