NL CENTRAL PRIMETIME BATTLE — FRIED VS IMANAGA AT WRIGLEY

Atlanta Braves (75-55) travel north to face the Chicago Cubs (76-54) with first place in the NL Central hanging in the balance. Chicago clings to a slim 1.5-game lead, the same margin that has separated these rivals for weeks. Atlanta Braves – The Charging Defending Champs

Chicago Cubs – Defending the Turf at Wrigley

The Cubs have been baseball’s best home team at 38-16 (.704), and Shōta Imanaga (13-7, 3.02 ERA) is the primary reason. At Wrigley Field, he is 8-2 with a 2.28 ERA, limiting opponents to a .194 average. He uses deception, pinpoint command, and a devastating changeup to neutralize hitters. He pitches to contact, keeps the ball in the park, and lets his elite defense work behind him.
